when to stop elmiron

Hi,
My husband and I are wanting to try to start a family. We have decided that I will get off of elmiron, but I don't know when I should. (right when I get off of birth control or when we are sure that I'm pregnant?) Does anyone know how long it stays in your system. I have been taking it for about 6 months. Thanks for any help!

Congrats on TTC, I hope all goes well for you!. I am in a similar situation right now. We are wanting to conceive but I want to talk to an OB first about my problems etc. My current doctor that treats me was also an OB and told me that I could stay on them until I found out. That was for all of my medications including elmiron. I would talk to your doctor about it because every doctor is different, both your current and your OB. My current doctor won't be able to see or treat me while I am pregnant, so that is one reason I wanted to see an OB before I find out I am pregnant. Good luck!
