Cysts and Irregular Bleeding

I recently found out that I have 2 cysts. One on each ovary. The left side was almost a 4 cm cyst, the right side was much smaller and my doctor said they were normal. He did a vaginal ultrasound and everything looked fine and he also sent me for the CA-125 blood test which was totally normal. My period was late and finally came 2 days after the ultrasound. Well now I'm still bleeding and it's 13 days. Not much blood on the pad (only small spots) but it's when I wipe that I have blood and even clots. My friend thinks it's from the pelvic exam and the ultrasound. I'm getting nervous and will call my doctor but I don't know if it could be pre-menopause since I'm going to be 45 soon. I mean I am worried but both those tests were fine. Do you think this is normal? Could the 2 cysts be causing the irregular bleeding and low back pain? Plus I'm having burning and difficulty urinating as my IC has been a mess. I'm totally stressed out!! Being female is not easy. Argh................:mad:

I constantly have had ovarian cysts since I was 19 . They can def cause low back pain and alot of general discomfort in the pelvic area . Honestly about the abnormal bleeding , Im not sure ??( I dont usually w mine ) BUT when they leak or burst ( trust me if they burst , you'll know . I dont mean to frighten you but they do cause alot of pain if that happens , go to the ER if you have a significant change in your pain level , so that way you'll know its not the IC ) anyway , if they leak or burst , you can get some bleeding or strange discharge and clots . Your best bet like I said is to go to the ER or call your doc ( they might tell you to go to the Er if the pain is bad anyway ) and get it checked out . But about the cysts themselves , I wouldnt be to worried , most if not all of us women do normally get them and considering all your tests came back normal I wouldnt stress yourself out too much about it . I was put on birth control to try to lessen mine but so far ( 9 yrs ) nothing have really stopped mine , I have complex cysts on both my ovaries now . Your right being a women def stinks sometimes lol I hope you feel better . If you want to investigate it google it , a ton of info will come up !! Take care :)

I have bleed irregular with mine like you stated. Just some spotting for several days so it could be from that.
