Lyrica and Elavil

I was wondering is there anyone out there that takes Lyrica and Elavil? I have had a huge flare and I went to the Dr on Tuesday and she gave me Lyrica to take but told me to stop the Elavil before starting the Lyrica well I started the Lyrica on Friday and I have the worse ureathal burning I guess the Elavil was really keeping it under control, so I have got to have some relief, so any help would be appreciated. Also if you take the Lyrica does it seem to help or do you pefer Elavil, mine was making me so groggy of the mornings even after 2+ years of taking it. She also started me back on Elmrion does this seem to help with ureathal pain? Hoping for all to have pain free days.

Hi, I was on Elavil and Lyrica together. I would never want to give up Elavil because it helps so much. Elmiron works to but it can take up to 9 months to one year to work. Below is some info on Elmiron. Lyrica helped me for more nerve pain and bladder pain but Elavil helps for burning and helps with frequency also, and for pain. Hope this helps. Thanks lisabar36 for your reply, my Dr acted as if I should not take the two together, I have been in so much pain that I will start back tonight taking the elavil, I have taken elimron before and I was also doing DMSO treatments so I do not know if the elimron actually helped or not, I had been doing great for the past little bit but I have had three UTI's since NOV and I have been in huge flare this past week or so and I really just need my bladder to calm down.
