Hi all!
I made an introductory post sometime back, but I wanted to post an update and also ask a few questions.
After trying me on medications for anxiety AND overactive bladder, my general practitioner really thinks that my problem is IC. I am seeing a urologist sometime next week (luckily one that my father, King of the Kidney Stone, often sees and is very fond of). I'm a little nervous about what sort of tests will be done, but I think I saw a board on here dedicated solely to that so I'll have to look into it.
I do have occasional pain - once or twice a month, I'll urinate and have an extreme burning sensation (almost like a bladder infection) afterwards. My main problem, however, is nocturia. I get up so many times during the night to pee it's ridiculous. I mean, I have frequent urination during the day (especially if I've had any sort of coffee or tea - sodas don't seem to bother me too much), but it's very frequent and urgent at night and has really disrupted my ability to sleep. It's like I get up and go to the bathroom and as soon as my head hits the pillow, the urgency strikes back. This has been happening to me since I was 17 (it literally seemed to have started overnight). I am now 22. Yeah. It's ridiculous.
Does anyone else experience nocturia as their main symptom?
Thanks in advance :hi: !
