Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed with IC back in Oct. 2007. The uro said he saw those "pin point" hemmorages when he did the distention. He didn't say how far he distended my bladder. I think it was to 500 cc's. The second uro I saw in Jan. said that everyone will have the pin point hemorages at 500 cc's. I think that is what he said anyways. Does that sound right? I guess I am just trying to find a way out of my diagnoses! :)

Let us know if you find one, because I suspect there's a bunch of us who'd like to go with you!

Seriously though, I don't know the answer to whether or not the pinpoint hemorages are normal if distended to that capacity. Did your second Uro say that because they thought your earlier IC diagnosis might be incorrect?

Both of these bladders have been distended one is a normal bladder one is a IC bladder. So I think your Dr may be wrong for saying that..

The pinpoint bleeding isn't the only criteria for diagnosis. Symptoms are also a huge consideration, along with ruling out other possible causes.

My doctor said my bladder would only hold 400 cc. He said a normal bladder would hold about twice that much.
