Just a friendly reminder, that If you live in a very cold city/state... be sure to not forget abaut your pets ( if kept outside ) wink
Be sure they have adecuate ( sp ) shelter/ cover from the cold .
If you have a doghouse, you can but a cloth flap over the entrance to keep the heat in and the wind out, add extra plankets.
Check there waterbowel on a daily basis, to ensure it's not frozen over.
You can heat up there food in the microwave for an extra treat and warmth wink
and please, bring them inside if it gets dangerusley cold...or put them in the garage/ shed ect.
Remember...there part of our familie and feel the cold like you and I. hi grouphug

I think they say don't let them out more than 7 to 10 mins... if they are out longer here in mich you will get ticketed and they will take them.

Our dal*****n, Meggie, is currently curled up on the foot of our bed --- and if she gets cold, under the covers she will go. wink
And we are currently dog sitting with our daughter's springer, who is in bed with another daughter.
Our doggies are very much spoiled!

Ahhh, the life of a spoiled dog. I know I have one of those. She also sleeps at the foot of the bed. When I am sitting in the chair she jumps up for snuggle time. Gotta love them doggies.

My Chelsea loves it in cold weather. She refuses to come in. I dunno why, but my dad has to go out and carry her in sometimes, she just refuses!!!

My dog only goes out to go to the bathroom. She is such comfort to me. She is a cocker spaniel, her name is Abby. This is a silly question, but she is almost 12 years old, and she has the worst breath you can imagine. Any suggestions? I've had her teeth cleaned and it doesn't even help anymore. And it is expensive. I love her to death, but the breath is a killer. Thanks!

I dont know if its her teeth or acid from her belly... :(

Carly,
Try looking for "Greenies". I know Foster and Smith has them, not sure about other pet places like Petsmart. But that should help. I used to work for Foster and Smith and they do help. :)
Hugs and love,

I have a 2 1/2 lb female chihuahua. I have a hard time getting her to go outside on the warmest of days. If we lift her up so she can see out the window she immediately starts shivering. Now that it's Winter we bought her a heating pad. She rarely leaves her bed. And I haven't met a dog who doesn't LOVE greenies.

Hi Ellsey,
Did you buy your little baby one of those heat pads that they lay on on the floor? I heard that those are so great, especially for dogs with arthritis. :)
Hugs to you and the little one,
Jess
