How Long??

I had been taking Elmiron for 6 months...I just stopped it a little less than a week ago to see if I noticed a difference in my IC symptoms (better or worse). My family doc told me to stop it for a few weeks & see if I saw a change. Well, I am flaring like crazy, but I am ovulating & was diagnosed with a UTI last Thursday...plus from the antibiotic, I am dealing with the whole yeast thing :rant: So...all that is bound to make a bladder flare (at least for me)!! I have to have a pelvic ultrasound today to make sure I don't have cysts on my ovaries & then I head down to my Uro after that. But I was wondering how long it has taken some of you to really feel the benefits of Elmiron??
I'm not a big fan of meds....actually wanted to try the Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM pills. But what do you all think of the Elmiron...has it helped you or not?? :help:

I know it helps me. If I don't take it I get a flare. I have been on it for years now and I don't remember how long it took to take effect.
