I got my cat, Panther, from my parents place. My parents live out in the country and have LOTS of cats. Last count was 42. Well, I have had a few different cats over the years. Three of them were so sick and I spent too much money trying to keep them alive just to have them die on me. My heart broke more and more with each one. I also had a couple of other cats that were just too much. They were not too good around kids -especially babies.]
When I was pregnant with my baby, Portia, I had a cat named Pepper. She was a pretty cool cat. She gave kisses right on my lips! It was so cute! I got her from my ex-husband. She was a stray and he tried to let others take her, but when he found that she was being tortured. So, I got her. But, the way she was with Angel, I knew that she wouldn't work with a baby in the house. But, I really wanted a cat.
So, I traded with my mother. She took Pepper and I got Panther.
It was the BEST trade ever! Pepper is still doing great out at my parents place. She is a very good outside cat.
Panther is doing great here. He never once bothered Portia. I got Panther right after he turned one. He is now almost three. He is so sweet. I can even use him as a pillow...lol. My kids can torture him and he will just lay there and purr.
Well, he also gives my really long massages. Longer and longer every day! Last night I was laying on my back and he come onto my tummy and started in. After about an half hour of his massaging, my tummy was numb. He weighs about 19 pounds. Wow, it felt so good. But, then it was getting to be too much. I had to stop him. He didn't even want to stop! After I went to the bathroom I layed on my tummy and he started on my back!
Yeah, he is my baby. And, I am so glad I have him. He is always there for me. And, he is so well behaved. Now if I could only teach him how to clean his own cat litter! Lol.

Just had to "brag" about my wonderful cat....

I'm glad the change is working for you guys. We have a cat who will lick your hand forever. I mean I've had to move my hand away from her cause the little sandpaper tongue was starting to hurt.
But....animals are such fun. lmao
