Anyone on Paxil CR?

Hi, sorry I just seen this. I had very bad retention with paxil cr. In turn I had bad bladder pain also. How are you doing on it?

Hey Lisa, I am not sure if it is giving me insomnia. I feel a bit nauseas on it too. What do you take at night for PFD? I tried Elavil and Valium and not much success.

Hi, I take Elavil 25mg at night. I have been on it since September and it helps me alot. I never got nauseous on the paxil cr, I just had retention and bladder pain. I did feel much more awake when I took it also.

I just started taking Elavil and Elmiron 2 months ago. The Elavil totally helps with the pain but it is truly a "make me hungry all of the time pill". I am also suposse to be taking Hydroxyzine (antihistamine) but I felt like it made me to sleepy. I have not started taking it yet. I am hoping it might counter act the "make me hungry pill". I don't want to take another med if it makes me hungry. Does anyone have any advice on taking Elavil and Hydroxyzine? How did you react to both?

Hi, I take them together. I take them at night. I don't get hungry from Elavil. I have no problems taking them together but I am used to them now. I started at 10mg of both so I could get used to them for a month, and then went to 25mg. Atarax doesn't make me feel hungry either. :) Lisa

Thank you for replying. Maybe I should have my doctor reduce it to 10mg and maybe I just need to give my body more time to adjust. You have given me hope. Where do you go for the B12 shots?

Hi, I do the B12 shots myself once a month. I go to the office every few months to have my levels checked, but they let me do the shots at home. Most family docs do the shots if you need them. I had a really low B12 so I started the shots and now its much better. As for the atarax, I did well starting at 10, I noticed when I went to 25 I was more tired so I was glad they started me at 10 for a month to let my body adjust better. I am sure if you called your doc, they would most likely say its ok. I started them about a week apart, that way if I had any side effects I would know what med caused it, but I have done well on both of them. :) Lisa

I was on Paxil 2 years ago. I was symptom free during that time. I did put on a lot of weight though and stopped taking it (64lbs). (I lost it all through hard work)

I took Elavil from January to a few weeks ago. I found it helped, however, if I was in a flare it did nothing. I put on 10 lbs with this. I am hoping I will loose it now I am not on it anymore.

I did take Paxil cr, I had retention when I increased my dose which in turn caused me alot of bladder pain so I went off it. I felt alot better when I went off it. :)

I was weened off the paxil cr as I was very nauseas and lost weight, put on Zoloft with the same side effects and am now trying prozac. any one try this one? I just wish I could hit on the right meds.
