Does the side effect of feeling like you got hit by a bus go away or not so much? I figure why keep on it if not....oh and dry eyes too.
Thanks-

For me it went away within a week. I started on 25mg though and worked my way up to 50mg that is what I am currently on. I also take mine at night.
And I never had dry eyes from it..

I only took Topomax for a couple of weeks and never got to increase the dosage due to the side effects. I always felt as if my limbs were tingling and pieces of hair going across my face. I also had issues with short term memory and as my family said, I was very difficult to live with. I know other people that have done well with Topomax. I am just very sensitive to meds, most definitely nerve meds.
I hope you will be like Ronda and will feel more normal shortly!

I have been on topamax for about 7 weeks now.. the burning in my eyes went away pretty quick.. actually as long as I drink enough water that isn't a problem. and it makes me pretty thrirsty anyhow.. the only other symptoms I have are the ocassional falling asleep feeling in say my heal.. or just my toe.. it last like 20 sec.. then goes away.. but that stops too.. it just starts again as I go up a dose.. but it doesn't happen constantly or everyday.. comes and goes here and there.. and so short it doens't even bother me.. I am also tappering up doses very very slowly.. I was on 25 mg at night for 2 weeks.. 50 mg at night for 3 more weeks.. and now on 75mg.. 25 in the morning.. 50 at night.. I might stay here.. might go to 100 not sure.. I also sleep harder at night, and have some hair loss.. a friend of mine who has been taking this for 4 years says this stopped with her after some time.. I love the topamax.. really helping my migraines so far.. good luck.. can I ask what you are using it for
