Hey Everyone! I'm New and Need Help!!!

I was diagnosed with IC when I was 18. I have been struggling to find any doctors here to help me!!! Does anyone have good references for anywhere around Iowa?!?!
I am so glad that I found all of you here to support me! We have all been through so much and I have learned so much from reading everyone's threads and post... SO THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR POSTING!! :smile tee

I know that it can be difficult in IA. I have struggled for years here to find a good Dr. I currently don't have a Dr. yet, but I think later this year I will have to find one also.

I had enough medication when I moved back here a few years ago to get me by for awhile. Not the perfect solution but I am fortunate that most of the time I have my IC under pretty good control.

You may want to talk to your family Dr. I did mention it to one I saw when I first came back and I think he would be willing to work with me. If you live in the IA City area I think the university has some good Dr.s there. If you live in northern IA, it wouldn't be that far up to Mayo. Northwest IA, there may be some Dr.s in the S. Falls SD area. There is Omaha to the west, Quad Cities area I think has a support group and they might be able to help you and if you live in south central or southwest IA, Kansas City isn't too far.

I will be trying to find one in the Des Moines area. There are more Dr.s becoming aware of IC now so between family Dr.s, Gyno's and urologist we should be able to find someone good here.
