Hi everyone...Not sure if I am posting this in the right place, but didn't really know where else to put it. I was just wondering is anyone has heard from Kara...The last I remember seeing her posts, she had moved and was sick, and having a really bad time. I've been thinking about her alot lately praying that her problems were under control and she was just too busy to be one the computer....sure hop that's why she hasn't been around~

I also was thinking about kara, my son use to chat with her also. And he was asking me how she was and if i have seen her online. I said no i have not. I am really worried about her. I know she did move and was sick. I use to have her phone # but i must have lost it. I will have to look around for it. But i don't know if it is her new one. Just wanted to post to say that I spoke with Kara about a month ago and she really is on the road to recovery! Other than the many infections that people get after this kind of surgery and she has been dealing with many, she wouldn't take her bladder back for anything! She definitely made the right decision. Kara is a wonderful person who has helped many while she struggled.
As a support group leader here in MA, I see many ICers come and go at our meetings and most of the time, they have worked through the different stages of IC and find a treatment that helps them get their lives back. When I don't hear much from my old IC friends, usually it means that they are doing better. You may notice that many come and go on these boards and most of the time, thanks to all the help here, they have gotten their symptoms under control.
When I speak with her again, I will tell her that her IC friends were asking for her:)

HI every one!!!!!!! God bless all of you for thinking of me. I am doing well with my new bladder but I am having some really hard issues with the medications I still take. And infections. My husband and I are talking about having a baby soon. He is supposed to get a raise in September and I am supposed to be getting disability (my 2nd time around)!!! If these two things happen we will begin trying to have a baby. BUT I still take so many medications I don't know where to start weaning off. They just increased my Neurontin which is why you see me on here right now b/c I am awake for the first time in 9 months. Since I was put on Fentanyl I fell into a deep. deep, depression that I can't seem to get myself out of. My medical team here sucks in Syracuse, NY, even my Psychiatrist. I have so much to say about how I feel now but I don't know where the best place to post it is. I am soooooooooooooooooooooo DEPRESSED!!!!! From my medications! But I miss all of you and think about you all of the time and pray that you are all pain free and living well!

Kara, sorry you are still having troubles. I can certainly relate to the infections. I saw that you get IV Fentanyl for them. I get IV Demerol when I get my infections, plus IV antibiotics. If you ever want to compare notes, you can email me. Judith bunny
