Hi everyone! I guess I shouldn't be complaining, but my laptop stopped working last night. The warning sign came on that my battery was low (that i had six minutes left), but it was plugged in. We can't get it to work with the plug, so I'm not sure what it is. I used my laptop for everything - it got me through grad school and it's what I usually use at home (all the time). I get on the forums here with it and also do all my email and stuff. I feel lost without it. I'm also very sad and hoping we can figure out how to get it to work. The plug port where you plug it in seems loose, yet we have no idea how to fix it. My hubby is a computer guy, but doesn't know how to fix this one. If you wiggle the plug the right way, the charge light flashes, but we still can't get it to charge or work. All of my documents are on it, so I'm extra sad. My hubby was able to pull out my hard drive and plug it in to an external harddrive plug and copy the documents to our network server computer. Most everything is there, yet not everything yet.

Again, I shouldn't be complaining as we do have more than one computer here which I know makes me lucky. There are many people out there that have never had their own computer. My laptop was my internet lifeline and also where I create a lot of documents. Right now, I'm on our main PC that my hubby uses. The keyboard is a lot different than my laptop (and my computer at work), the screen is a huge widescreen (I hate widescreen) and it has a different version of windows that is very strange to me. I guess I'll have to learn it.

Okay, I'm sorry again for complaining. It's just very strange for me and I'm also a little worried that I'll lose some of my files. I also can't afford to buy myself another laptop.

Thanks for listening to me vent!
Jennifer

Hopefully you can take your laptop in and have it repaired.
