Hi all,

I got an email from May today and here's a quote that I thought I would share:

"I still have my bladder and some days it's so hard I just cry but then when I think I can't stand it another minute I have a good day, so God is helping me get through this."

Poor May. She's going through the hoops with her doctor, she just found out her insurance company doesn't require a second opinion, and also that they allow cystectomy in severe cases of IC, which her's of course is. She had a urodynamics, which found her bladder to really be dysfunctional, and very limited capacity.

So that's the update, she's so brave, hanging in there and all. And she wanted me to thank you all for thinking of her. :)

Hugs and love,
Jess

Please send her a hug from me, bless her heart. I also had been wondering how she was doing.

Jess, please tell May she can email me, having been through the operation, maybe I can help her with things to say to get it finally taken care of. Judith

All the best to you May. I made 2 homemade heating pads from the pattern you posted. One was for Sadie she will be 8 yrs old soon and she has seen a uro and her mother has changed her diet and helped retrain her bladder. She is doing so much better now and she uses her little heating pad whenever she needs a little help relaxing and getting to sleep. So thank you so much for sharing you made a differance in her life and mine. grouphug Nancy
