I am going to see a new dr on Monday so I picked up my records today to take with me. On my clean catch urine tests results is states "rare atypical cells present" also under comment "the atypical cells exhibit some degenerative change" Microscopic says " the speciman consists of epithelial cells, a few exhibiting mild atypia". Is this the "shedding" of the GAG layer that I have read about?

I also found out from my ct and mri that I have a fibroid in my uteris and a 3cm cyst on one ovary. Nobody seems concerned about these though!

Sometimes I hate reading my records, they can really scare you at times, and I hate the way the word things such as "patient denies ..." sounds as if they don't believe me but I am a bit over sensitive right now, all this pain and no relief is really taking a toll on me. It is a good thing everyone in my house is working right now!!!! I am not good company today.

Well, sorry for the ramble, any input would be much appreciated. And I would also like to say that this site has been a real blessing to me lately while I am learning to cope with this new life I have.

It sounds like you'll have some really good questions for your doctor on Monday. Be sure to write them down so you won't forget to ask.

Hugs,
Donna

Hi Sandra
Yes Donna is right! These are great questions to talk with your doctor about. Have you been diagnosed with IC? Has you doctor talked with you about what your records say at all?
I hope you get all the answers you are looking for.
Good luck with your appointment. You are very lucky to have your mother go along. It is always nice to have support!
