Heparin recall

I am using the recalled heparin in my instills and haven't had any problems with it. My pharmacist is trying to find some heparin that isn't on the list but since it isn't bothering me I am continuing use of it. The recall was for the drug being injected into the blood stream.

Some patients have been having pain & burning with instilling the recalled heparin.
And since most IC patients instill it along with Lidocaine or Marcaine, they may assume they're just flaring since the symptoms can show up when the Lidocaine or Marcaine wear off.

There is a substance that has been substituted into the bottles instead of the heparin that has caused allergic reactions.

Not worth the risk.
