What if it bleeds?

I got my first cystoscopy today and after an instillation. I have had the instillations before and find it uncomfertable to pee afterward. Right now everytime I try to go it stings so bad I have to stop. My bladder wants me to go and it is really making me mad. I noticed though, which has never happened before, that my urethra is bleeding. It happens when I try to go, I think a little urnie comes out, but not too much. I tried to call my dr, but they are closed and said if I want to call the oncall dr that if it is not an emergency they will charge me $75, and I do not think this is. I just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else? Is it an emergency? It just sucks because it is friday. I guess it will be more serious if it bleeds tomorrow too. ARG!! If anyone has any advice please let me know! Ahh, it burns!

It has been so long since I had my cysto but I do remember it hurting for a bit afterward when I would try to pee and I did bleed a little. Some of the others that have had these more often and more recent than I have will pop in here.

I wonder if it would help you to sit in a tub of warm water and that would relax you to go and you could just go in the tub. If you shouldn't do that again someone can correct me. I am just trying to come up with something to help you.

I do feel that if you are concerned about bleeding after a procedure you should be able to call and ask about it for no charge. I guess the fighting spirit in me would fight that one if they tried to charge me for it.

Right now I am thinking that because it is a little blood maybe I do not need to call yet. But thanks for responding, maybe it is normal to have happen if you had some too. They did shove a bunch of junk in me.

Well I can tell you I bleed for days to weeks after my cystos but my doctor knows this is how I am.
Are you able to urinate okay? I would really try to talk to your doctor if at all possible just to be sure that there isn't anything more going on.

So today I do not think it is bleeding anymore. It is really sore and painfull to pee still, but I am able to. All last night I would feel it start and it would sting so bad that I would stop before it came out. I even filled up the bathtub at my friends house so I could pee, for some reason it helped! I felt really weird, but they are cool and understand my situation. I told her she can pee in my shower if she ever needs to. The best part is that other than the urethra pain I feel normal. I am not peeing a lot today and my bladder is fine. I have peed something like three times today, that is crazy! Normally it is so much I canot keep count.
I am wondering about my instillation next week though. I have one on friday, does anyone think it is too early to do it again? I do not want to heal and then get the instillation too early and mess up the healing. What do you think?
