URGENCY!!!!????

Anyone of you develop phantom urgency while healing from your cystectomies? I have it evey once in awhile for a day or two. Is this common? Does it go away with time?

If not, what meds can be taken for this..........

I am taking 2,400mg of Neurontin now
I was instructed to turn my Interstim back on to help with my pelvic floor region, and my new doc gave me some Flexeril to help with intestinal spasms.......

I just want to know if others have experienced phantom urgency and what they take for it when it happens.

Kara, I had that feeling when I first had my cystectomy. I used to sit on the toilet till the feeling passed. There really isn't too much you can do about it except know that in time it will slowly go away on it's own. Don't expect it to happen overnight, it is a very gradual thing. Do you really want to be taking more meds? I remember from some of your posts that you don't always have best of luck with meds.Hang in there, it will get better.
