....The other night they had a segment on pelvic pain relief featuring the pelvic pain guided imagery CD that they actually sell here on ICN. They never said exactly what was wrong with the woman, but she said the word "bladder" on TV and their was a sign on a door that said interstitial cystitis.

Here is the link to the story and the video segment!

Thanks Julie. Isn't their a research study on guided immagry right now?? Mare mare I think there maybe something on guided immagery that is pretty current. Although have not followed a treatment plan by anyone else for it I have done so on my own and yes it is helpful. When things are at their worse that can be a rescue means to relief.

Hi Julie! Thanks for sharing this. I live in the Detroit area and missed this story. It was very interesting and enlightening. I hope it brings some awareness to people who have no idea what it's like to have a chronic bladder condition.

("I hope it brings some awareness to people who have no idea what it's like to have a chronic bladder condition.")

Exactly!!!

I get comments from people all the time----

"You have to go to the bathroom again?!" :toilet:

"Oh my, you still have that bladder infection?" (Don't we wish it was something antibiotics would take care of!)

Anybody else want to share comments they have heard?
IC has really hurt my quality of life. I don't socialize near as much as I used to. Oh yea, and the lady who had to have the toilet seat surgically removed, poor thing, she might have IC! Makes sense to me!
