View Full Version : WENT TO HOSPITAL LAST NIGHT!
I went to the hospital in excruciating pain in my back and abdomen. They did all sorts of tests. I went in for 2 cat scans. They found 2 kidney stones that are ready to come down and a seriously bad urinary tract infection..........
just giving you an update. I was given pain meds for the kidney stones and Cipro for the UTI!
I'm NOT a happy camper today......... frown.gif frown.gif frown.gif
The pain is unrelenting from this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KARA!!!!!! frown.gif Im so sorry to hear about your trip to the Hospital. They did an awful lot on you. So are they going to take the kidney stones out or what did they say about everything? OMG...I can just imagine how you are feeling right now. Just when you thought getting your bladder removed was a good choice ( and it still seems like it was ) you have these problems. If I can be of any help.. just let me know. I do hope you get some relief and some rest from your pain. In the meantime your in my thoughts and prayers.

Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.

Thanks to you all!
I'm really doped up on Lortab. Didn't think it would help the pain but it seems to be helping enough for me to rest. I will probably sleep for a few weeks. They are small stones so they are going to let them pass, but it takes time. I have to strain my urine eveytime I go and search for any remains or parts of a stone. The Urinary Tract Infection is another story. I don't know how they are going to end up treating it so that it will really go away this time. They are having me take Cipro until my urine has been cultured. I went to my new primary care doc today. He sucked! He knew nothing.........and he didn't seem to care that I had gone through so much H***! I guess I will keep on shopping for a new primary care doc. My uro appt. is next week with a specialist! I hope he treats me better than this doc today did. My appointment was 3 minutes long and it was supposed to be an annual physical????????
Whatevahhhh
I hate myself right now the pain is unreal!

Kara~
Im glad to hear the Lortab is letting you sleep some and rest. I was on Lortab and I ran out and they didnt refill it..I thought I was going to die cause' it helped me so much. I feel so sorry that you have gone through so much. I hope the kidney stones pass quickly and with little pain. I will be praying for you. I hope they find a way to clear up your urinary infection as well. Dont you hate those docs that are suppose to be DOCTORS and they end up not knowing anything and you know more than they do. And they are a butt about it ! I have never seen my PCM...LOL Im always seeing someone else...but its just who they set me up with. Anyway I hope you find a good PCM and get your pain under control. Your in my thoughts always. Best wishes and hugs to you.

Kara-
Just replied to you in the "antidepressant" section...then came accross this post.
I just wanted to say hang in there, girl! I'm so sorry to hear you have kidney stones and bad UTI...what a double whammy!
I'm sorry you are in pain, glad the meds help with that.
I can totally relate about your experience with your doc for your annual physical. It is sooo annoying when the doc barely even talks to you, just a quick visit. I really think insurance companies are at the bottom of this though...
Anyway- please take care...hope you are better soon.

Kara,
Sorry you have been going through so much. Hopefully soon you will start to feel better. Maybe you will like your new uro better than your primary care doc. Take care and I will be thinking of you.

Hi Kara,
I'm so sorry to hear about your kidney problems. Is is common to get stones when you have no bladder? Didn't you post one other time about having a stone? I hope they pass soon so you can get back into your normal routine. Keep looking for a doc, a good one makes all the difference in the world! My neck surgery was last Tues. This is the first time I have been able to get to the computer. I'm not supposed to do steps, but snuck upstairs anyway! I am using a walker to get around and am on percocet, so I hope I am making sense! Kara, let us know when you are back to normal. Take care of yourself! I prescribe chocolate and some great chick flicks while you are laying in bed.
Love, Julie wink.gif

I'm so happy to hear that you are up and about. I'd like to be in close contact with you as you recover! I will get my new email up soon and I will let you know what it is! We are not allowed to post phone numbers here but if you have questions about your new bladder maybe we can figure something out! I am thinking about you constantly!!!
Thank you all so much for the support! Julie is going to need us now!
Love and Hugs

Thanks for the hugs Kara. This surgery was a fusion to c2/3 and c6/7 levels in my neck. Very painful! I could hardly lift my arms at first. They cut through all the muscles. They put plates and screws in for stability. The incision is about 6 inches down the back of my neck. My bladder surgery is Dec. 6th. I hope I can handle it by then. I think my body will be one big scar!!! I hate for my husband to see me without clothes on when the lights are on. But right now he has to help me with showers even. I hope your stones have broken up by now. Sending hugs, healing thoughts, and prayers.
Take care, Julie
