I went to dr. evans in nc. he prescribed to bladder cocktail of

Lidocaine 2%
Sodium Bicarb 8.4%
Elimoron 200 mgs

and it says mix together and draw in syringe well they did excatly that and all of my doses are in one syringe I don't know now much to use etc... I am in so much confusion. This is so over whelming to me anyway. I am so stressed about it. I need a treatment and I have needed one for 3 days and noone can seem to get anything right. Can't get my caths, and my solution mixed correctly. :bonk: I know that their has to be a reason behind this but i don't understand. Anyone use this combination of things and if so how much do you install into your bladder.

Have you called your doctor back & asked for how many cc's of each medicine to use?
I don't use Elmiron or Lidocaine (I use Marcaine & Heparin & Sod.Bicarb),but I mix my meds in one of those urine sample cups before I draw the solution up into the syringe. After doing the instillation, I rinse the cup & syringe with hot water, dry & put into a clean dry paper bag.

I agree that you should call your doctor's office. I don't see an amount on anything but the elmiron. Usually there's a specific measurement for each ingredient.

You wouldn't know how much to mix unless it was on the prescripton. I wonder if the pharmacy forgot to put the directions on the label. I would check with the pharmacy to see if the Rx did have cc listed for the lidoacine and the sodium bicar.

There are dozens of recipes for your coctail. So it wouldn't be good for you to use someone recipe if it wasn't the one your MD prescribed. The ingredients you are using are fairly common but like I said there are so many different amounts of each ingredient that can make the coctail.

My mix is 8cc of 2% lidocaine, 8cc of heparin (40,000 units) and 3cc of sodium bicarbonate. Everything is put together in a specimen cup before pouring into the catheter tip syringe.
