A Surgery Staple came out of my urethra last night

Just wondering if any of you whom have had cystectomies have lost any of your surgery staples? I wonder if it's normal or anything to be concerned about.....


I called my old uro but he has not called me back, probably does not care!

Kara what kind of staple is this? Are they supposed to just remain or dissolve in your body??? I'm confused by that. Anyway I definitely think your doctor should call you back for something like that.

Elm they are to be staples that stay in me forever. One came out and got stuck in my catheter. My doctor didn't think it was important enough to call me back.

I have had staples come out of my stoma. My uro said not to worry about them as the body will spit them out if they are not needed. I still have plenty of staples left in me, I can always tell which are my X-rays by all the staples, LOL! It is scary the first time you see a staple come out.
