Beverly, you must be so relieved to finally have a date. The waiting is the worst part! Just remember I am only an email away if you have any questions. That's great that you will meet with the ET before surgery. Most likely she will mark the site where your stoma will be at that time. You may also want to ask about an ostomy visitor from the United Ostomy Association. It is a person who already has one and they try to match you up with someone of the same sex, age and type of ostomy. It really helps to have a visitor- I know I had one right after my surgery and I also went to local ostomy meetings. I got great support there. Do something nice for yourself everyday before surgery- you deserve it! Hang in there. Judith bunny

Hi everyone... First I would like to say thank you for all the support you have been giving my mother. It helps her alot to talk to someone else besides her family about IC. I know that she has not slept for quite sometime now (I can relate)and I am so happy that she has spoke to many of you in the chatrooms at night. I am a nurse and I have been to alot of support groups and I have to say that I am so impressed with the way all of you care about one another. It is wonderful... Anyway I just wanted to tell all of you that I will be leaving on Monday April 7th to go be with my mother and father for the surgery and I will be updating all of you on my moms surgery. I know deep down that this will change her life for the better... Even though it will be hard at first, I will be so happy to have my mom the way I remember her.. Healthy and Happy.... Thanks again... and Mom I love you...
