Yesterday, I was given the Cleveland Clinic IC formula. My bladder feels a lot better. However, I woke up with a horrible headache. Is this a normal reaction?

I do get headaches alot but I have never linked one to my rescue instills. What recipe are they using because I know some heparin which is a popular med in instills has been recalled and maybe that could have caused the problem? I would def call your dr if you feel there is a connection to let them know.

How hard is it for home instills?

Everone is different. I was totally blown away and so apprehensive that I couldn't even believe I was considering home instills. I tell you I was a totally basket case when I learned.
I went to the office for 3 visits. My urogynecologist told me he would never ask me to do something that I wasn't totally comfortable with. He also said I could come in anytime for more instructions if I needed. He has a full time nurse that just does instills and teaches how to home instill (40 hours a week).
I have had virtually no problems with the procedure itself. The hardest thing (and it takes most of my time) is mixing the instill in the syringe. I have a link in my signature that explains how I do instills.
Just PM me if I can help in any way.

The recipe for your cocktail is one that I have seen before on the boards. My recipe is very similar but I do not have cytotec or elmiron.
Elmiron is used quite often in the instills.
Isn't cytotec used to keep ulcers from forming?

Elmiron is used for this instill. Luckily, I can get it through the mail order pharmacy so it is not too badly priced for me.
Cytotec is used for ulcers. I am not sure how it works but it does because I am feeling better.

I have never had a headache resulting from an instill.
Glad to hear about the Cleavland cocktail. I'll have to keep that in mind.
