If you are between the ages of 19 and 45 and if you have been diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis for at least 6 months you might be an appropriate candidate for these research studies. Thanks Jill, I go to the University of Alabama to a pain Doctor who treats many patients with IC. My Doc treats me for my neuropathy pains. For a year or more he used to say, that I was the rarest IC patient that they had ever treated, but he finally listened to me and agreed that I was not rare at all.

I cannot be included in this study because I'm just too old. I met someone today in my water aerobics class and she has been treated for IC and has many related symptoms and is in the right age group. I will give her the information and also suggest she join the forum here at ic-network. I am so happy they are finally doing more research on the mechanisms of pain and IC.

Again, many thanks Jill!

Sincerely Silverfox :woohoo:

I would have really liked to participate. I am not far from Birmingham but I had a hysterectomy at age 40. Darn!
