hey guys im home.. for some werid reason they kept me for a really long time... i got there a 6 am and i was there till about 3pm.. crazy.. i was so scared but they gave me alot of versed so i dont really remeber alot!! but everything seemed to be alright.. im in alot of pain now alot of burning.. but now he said that hes stumped and that my bladder doesn't even look like i have ic!! ***??! so now i have another appt on wed to get the news back.. i know i have ic i was diag 2 diffrent dr! it doesn't even make sence.. anyways im going to go back to sleep..

I am sorry to here this.. BUT thier are people that can have IC and it not show up when a cysto/hydro is done. Did he do a biopsy to check for mass cells? I would be asking that. And also if he says no you do not have IC but are still having all the symtoms. I would be getting a second opinion. I hope you start feeling better from your cysto/hydro..(((Hugs)))

well its 5 am i have never been awake this early by my self but i slept so much yesterday that i just woke up on my own.. also from pain:( so yesterday seemed to go ok.. and for those of you who asked yes i did get a biopsy.. and he did the hydro/cysto and also the dialation ?? does that sound right?? i dont know but i was very scared i wasnt sure if i was going to go though with it but i did.. and when i woke up i had no idea where the hell i was haha .. and btw they didn't inibate me!! exciting!!! they used this ballon thingy that blows up in ur mouth to keep ur toung down.. i was in the first reovery for an hour or more.. i rember waking up and coming in and out but i didn't know what i was saying.. it seemed to wear off pretty fast.. they gave me pain meds slowly.. i kept asking for them to pump me with more i was pretty sore.. then finally the second recovery and they gave me a loritab which seems to not change at all!!!! i did the first pee when i got to the 2nd recovery room and it wasn't any diffrent pain then i normally experience which is od cause i was expecting more but i have a high tolerence to pain beucase of this stupid thing... but my burning on a day to day is about the same as when i peed yesterday.. werid thing is there has been no blood at all? not sure if that is werid or somewhat normal i mean specially cause i had the biopsy.. and when you guys said a 2nd opionin.. my dr is a ic specialist.. and he came in and said he was stumped.. i have been to 3 drs who diag me with IC so it doesnt make to much sence.. when i can i will post up the pics of my bladder. supprising they arent bad.. the thing that is most visable is the musles he said.. they are very very big which he said he normally sees in older people not a 19 year old girl lol but anyways alot of you know im a huge baby so they were making fun of me so they took some pics of me yesterday here they are!

I'm so sorry that your hydro was so confussing. I was one of the patients who's bladder looked normal during my hydro. When he told me this in the recovery room I started to freak. I knew I had IC and he said my bladder looked normal, I couldn't figure out how that was possible.
My uro did take bladder biopsies though and when they got the results back there were mast cells all over the place and then he did agree that I in fact did have IC so hopefully the biopsy will show something for you but if you've already been diagnoised by other dr's then I would guess that you have it even if your bladder looked normal. Not everyone's bladder shows the pinpoint bleeding or ulcers and they still have IC.

I'm glad that everything went good for you,I just had mine done today and I am still alittle sore.Anyway the same thing happenend to me the doctor told my husband that my bladder looked pretty good.I was diagnosed about 8 years ago by another doctor and he did do a biopsie and told me it was IC,but because this is my second one and a new doctor he didn't do one he just went with what was in my file.Anyway how are you feeling?It's been so long I can't remember how it felt and for how long it hurt.Well I'm going to take some meds and go to bed.Hope you are feeling like your old self soon,my first hydro put me in remission for a long time let's hope that's your case too......

Get a copy of your pictures from your cysto/hydro.

The urologist who did my cysto/hydro set off a family war when he told my mom that "it could be IC or it could be a transient irritation & she'll be fine in 2 months". Well, my family focused on "fine in 2 months" & I then had the Christmas from hell when it wasn't gone yet. The family calmed down when my mom developed IC a year & a half later & it turned out my grandmother likely has a mild case as well.... And I later discovered that my doctor had been marking all my insurance forms after the cysto/hydro with "diagnosis: IC". I have no idea why he could tell my insurance company that & not me.

Oh, and 2 other urologists looked at the same pictures from my cysto/hydro & said, "Yes, it's IC". My symptom index & food sensitivities also indicated IC, as well.

Never underestimate the importance of a second opinion.

alright so its 7 00 in the moring im not sure why im awake but i have been sence 400 i can only sleep for a couple hours at a time im so achy. yesterday had to have been the worse i think it was day 4 or 5.. the dr didn't tell me that i wasn't going to be able to not go to the bathroom after but i did hear from some people that i wouln't.. well it was sence wed yesterady that i hadnt pooped and i was misserable woke up with the worse stomich pains in the world.. so i decided to take two more laxitive pills sence nothng happend the day before whne i took them.. well nothing happend so i drank half a bottle of that sodium bicarb or somthing like that that makes you poop before u like do a procedure? ok nothing happend.. i was up and down thining i was going to throw up and i was sweating like crazy the hot sweats cause nothing was happening.. so then i drank laxitive tea .. nothing ... lol well my dad called the dr and she told me to take a suppostiory i was like alright ill try.. so my dad thought it would be a better idea to do a enema.. WOW ok gross.. so i did it after an hour of thinking about it and bam like two senconds later everything i had ever eatn in my life was coming out lol sorry if im a little to much.. well nedless to say the rest of the meds i had taken prior started working after cause i haven't even eatn anything at all yesterday at allll nothing an dim still at 7 00 this moring still going.. im misserable i cant keep anythin in my body.. i dont wanna take anymore pain killers cause im scared ill throw up cause i have no food in me and im misserable! so im not sure how long im sopost to be in bed for but im misersable.. bladder sucks so bad i have been crying and crying.. im just bored of being in bed. uhg

I think a call to your doctor would be a good idea.

Also, try a piece of toast, no butter, with your meds. That might help.

I hope you feel better soon,I had mine done friday and I feel ok just alot of pressure.It might just take you alittle longer to feel better,call your doctor and try to eat something so that the pills don't make you sick.Let us know how you are doing...........
