Perimenopause

I think I am entering perimenopause. I am having an increase in anxiety, hot flashes, pounding heart. Sometimes I feel like I am loosing my mind.

I went to the gyno, she says these symptoms are not related to perimenopause because I am on the pill, and a high dose at that. The pill would block those symptoms

Anyone having perimenopause symptoms while on the pill?

Having those symptoms, but not on the pill!

Did your doctor say if not perimenopausal, just what these symptoms you're experienceing might be from? "Cause if not menopause, then it seems like something that would be of concern to her!

I know I'm chiming in late, but it's my understanding that you reach a point where the pill no longer works and you need to switch to HRT. One the other hand, depending on how things are with your IC...anxiety goes hand in hand with IC and a pouding heart, hot flashes and feeling like you're going crazy go hand in hand with anxiety.

All I know is that we are in this journey together and I wish you luck.
