I was raised a Bears fan so technically Brett was the enemy. :evilsmile

But...I think he is going to going to go down as one of the hardest working, classiest, record breaking players to ever play the game. I always enjoyed watching him play. I really thought he was going to play another year. I hope he stays active with the NFL in some way. Either on the field or in the booth. He will be missed.

One of my co workers is from Green Bay. I havent seen her in a few days so Im curious to see how she feels about this.

Brett Farve not playing football? Will the sun still come up in the morning in the east and set each night in the west? Maybe not. Things could change big time before this football great leaves the field for the last time as a player. I hope the best for him and his family.

I've always loved Brett Farve... What a true team player he was. I'm so sad he will be retiring. He's a great guy, and never let football get to his head and become full of himself. He will be truely missed in football. What a loss in the nfl!!! Did you watch his interview yesterday? awww it was so sad.... he cried and cried. He's got such a big heart.

He and his family will be greatly missed in the community. They have done so much for so many needed organizations.

You know Bretts hometown was only a few miles from where my house was in the Bay in Ms. His mom lives in Diamondhead and shops at the Grocery store I wokred at wehn I first moved to the Kiln. They are really nice people. His mom use to drive their Lemo to the Grocery store..lol We would ask why she did not hire her an driver and she said she did not need a driver, and she did not need that Lemo, but Brett insisted..lol Really down to earth people..

But he will be missed...

I will miss him too. Even though our family are Dolphin fans. Yes, we hang in there don't we?? LOL! We had a great friend who collected anything Brett Farve. When she got married many years ago, we were on a bowling league together. I was the handicap!!!! Anyway, the people at the bowling alley gave me a bowling pin when I asked if they had one I could buy/have. That was back when people were painting them and making money off of their talent. My friend kept joking that she wanted a Brett Farve Bowling Pin. I got his picture and drew a cartoonish looking picture of him on it and painted it. I was really pleased with my "efforts". I wrapped it up and gave it to her at one of her bridal showers. She was so thrilled with her gift and to this day, she has it as a doorstop in her huge mansion of a house in Hendersonville, TN. I tease her that it's one of those gifts that she brings out when I arrive, so she won't make me feel bad. Now her kids tell me oh no Ms. Tracey, we aren't allowed to play with that.

I called her when I heard the news and shared in her sadness. Her voicemail on her cell phone used to say, if you are a Packer's fan leave a message, if you aren't, hang up and try again.

LOL!
