I have been on Elavil and Lyrica for 3 months and have not had but a couple of flares since then. I am sooooooo happy:smile tee and thankful  Since I hurt constantly I was unable to figure out my food triggers before starting on Elavil and Lyrica. Since I have been doing so well I have been eating some foods on the "might be OK" column. Is it OK to eat these as long as I am not hurting? Will I still have flares from eating the wrong things? Just not sure how to handle feeling good and eating stuff. Like I said I never figured out what foods could be bothersome b/f starting these meds that are helping.

I am so thankful for my painfree days. I feel like a new person. I haven't felt this way in over 10 years. !!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Since I've been on elavil and Urelle I've been able to eat some foods that had been on my "do not even think about eating" list. You might want to keep a food diary to figure out which foods are causing problems, but if you can eat something without pain, go for it!

I agree if you can eat something without pain go for it, but I would still not do too much at a time.. and keep a food diary just to see how things affect tyou.. with I was preggo with my oldest I could eat everything without a problem.. It was great, but I started slowly and waited a few days between stuff just to make sure..

glad you get to enjoy more foods now

So far I haven't had one problem with any of the foods. Of course I haven't tried any that are known to be a problem for IC, but this is great. I don't have pain and I can eat. What a miracle. :woohoo::woohoo:

I am keeping a food diary just in case.
