IC/IBS

HI: I HAVE IC AND IBS.....I AM EXPERIENCING NAUSEA AND HAVE BEEN FOR SEVERAL DAYS.....IS THIS SYMPTOMATIC OF EITHER ONE? I'VE BEEN ON ELMIRON,AMITRYPTLINE & PRELIEF FOR 2 YEARS AND HAVE DONE VERY WELL UNTIL RECENTLY. THE IBS ONLY STARTED IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS AND I'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED NAUSEA...I'M CURRENTLY NOT HAVING AN IC FLARE BUT AM EXPERIENCING NAUSEA & DIAHRREA...HAVE ANY OF YOU HAD THESE SYMPTOMS?

Hi Linda, welcome to the boards. I get the nausea feeling once in a great while from the pain and I also have ibs. do you think you may have the flu? I am on phengram for the nausea. Also when it is hot and humid, I get nausated. Hpe this helps you some. Hang in there. There's hope,.

I also wonder if what you have is a "bug" --- if it's a new symptom and doesn't go away very soon, my best suggestion is to contact your physician.

well said and I agree 100%. I too have ic and ibs and the hot/humid weather makes me want to toss my cookies.... banghead

When my hormones are out of whack (pregnant or not) I get really nausated. Also, when I get really tired it hits me really hard but I think that has something to do with my blood sugar level.

Usually my IC and IBS flare together, if I make a food error. Usually it is diarrhea and stings like it is acid.

IC sometimes makes me nauseated, but if this is new for you, I would certainly check with your doctor. A UTI can also cause nausea.
