How often do you take it?

I finally found the Prelief. I am curious how often icers take it. All the time no matter what or just when you want to eat something that is "bad". Should I take it in the am before my Diet Coke ( I have cut back but can't give up my morning caffeine )? Thanks, Ceilidh

I usually take it before I am going to eat something that might be bad for me, usually about once a day before my am coffee. I also will take 1 if I am going to eat something like pizza or spaghetti, too. It works for me.

I also take prelief if I'm going to eat something questionable. I wouldn't even try spaghetti sauce and the ony way I eat pizza is without sauce.

I have been eating the same foods that I used to eat since I had my hysterectomy and nothing has felt any different. I still am not having any caffeine or chocolate, though. I am thinking that most of my pain I was having before was from my ovaries and fallopian tubes. I still hurt, but it is a different kind of pain, mostly from my surgery healing. I am wondering if the uro was wrong about me having IC at all. I started hurting worse after I had the cysto-hydro.The only problems I have with my bladder now are frequency.I am still taking pyridium and ditropan though so maybe that's keeping it under control.

Dear Ceilidh:

We recommend taking at least 2 Prelief tablets with every meal, snack, and beverage. Because tolerance to food varies greatly as does the acid content of food you may find that you need to use more tablets than the recommended amount.
