High Occupancy Vehicle, usually two or more passengers per car, and no one else can use the lane. It's supposed to encourage carpooling. I've known people who've been driving to work for years with a crash test dummy in the passenger seat, and have never been stopped, LOL.

People don't even bother with crash dummies in Memphis. When they put the HOV lanes for high traffic times, the intent was to help and encourage people that lived in the suburbs to carpool when they came into the city for their jobs, there were so many warnings, I think they gave out tickets for a few months, then realized the traffic was worse because the police had people stopped and everyone loves to be a "rubber necker", so that turned out to be a flop. I see people all the time by themelves. It doesn't serve me anyway, because where I have to change from one interstate to the other, it's best for me to be in the right two lanes.

Now people in Los Angeles, they are quite strict as well as Atlanta from what I have been told. They have received big tickets to prove it.

Thanks for enjoying the video, while some of the jokes don't apply to many of us, we can certainly get a chuckle. I am happily married and don't have any "scooters" with girlfriends with safety pins, but I love to laugh and that did the trick!

We hare having a "tailgate" party most of the day today to get ready for the big game! We are even having a pep rally! I am already dressed in Tiger blue with a paw print on my face.
