Just curious if there's anybody out there in the Kansas City area in this forum. I would love to chat and hopefully gain support for.

I am from St Joseph and would be happy to chat. I know there are a few others. I will see if I kept their names in my private messages.

We have been very busy remodeling and so it may take me a little while to respond, but I would like to find someone close too.

Not in KC, but outside of STL. Just stopping by to say "hi." PM me anytime. I'm new, although I "technically" joined in June. I lost the web address & forgot all of my info! Doh!

The KU Med West support group doesn't exist now. I went once several years ago. I'm thinking of going to the support group at KUMC off Rainbow, but I don't like driving at night especially in unfamiliar area. I live in Shawnee, KS.

Have any of you in Kansas been approved for Social Security Disability? I recently applied, so I'm curious how it went for any of you in Kansas. I am using an attorney.

I'm in Kansas City, too. North of the river. I'm fairly new to this website, and I've never posted (that the right term?) anything before. Anyway, I look forward to chatting here.

:welcome: Glad to have you here. I am from the St Joseph area. What are your IC symptom and how have you been feeling? Are you new to IC or just new to this board?

Hi. Thanks. I've had I.C. for about 10 yrs now. I've been feeling like it's got me lately, and started to look around the web for resources to combat that feeling. My physical symptoms are pretty typical, I guess. Frequency and urgency are the biggest. I got out of a boring and frustrating marriage two years ago and the whole world seemed to open up for me, I'm just sick of looking for all the bathrooms. What a limiting affliction this is. I can think of a million other things I would rather have.

Sorry to hear about how it is getting you down. I was feeling the same way for so many years. Now the dr has me on elavil and lyrica and i feel great.:smile tee I have been eating most anything and able to exercise. It has been a life saver for me. My only complaint is the weight gain from them. I can't seem to get rid of it. I have gained nearly 10 pounds, doing weight watchers, but haven't lost anything. But I do feel good otherwise. Have you tried either of these medicines?
