Does anyone have any pain problems associated with your instills? I take a Lido/Hep/Sod Bicar combo. Sometimes it works with very little "set up" pain. The Doc says the set up time should be about 20 mins. My good days are 1-2 hours of increase in pain. A bad day the pain lasts until the next instill. Yes I told Doc. Yes I do think they help me some so I so far don't want to give them up. I've been doing 3 instills a day for over a year. Per Doc I also cath to drain meds and this has helped with exterior inflammation. Pain is my biggest issue. One thing the instills did help with was sleep. I now get up 3-5 times a night instead of 5-9. Still tired all the time. Any insight?

I think you are asking how long til the mixture kicks in? I'm not really sure what you mean by set up pain. When I do them I usually feel some relief almost right away from the lidocaine, the best pain relief within a half hour or so. I always pee the solution out because it helps numb my urethra too.
Hope that answers your question.

Hi, I am not sure what you mean by set up pain? I get alot of relief from instills and when I was getting one a week I noticed a decrease in my symptoms as far as frequency.

I have no initial pain after instills. Relief is almost immediate and most of the time I am symptom free for 2 days.
