what about insurance?

I am very encouraged with all that I read here! My husband and I are considering children and I have been very concerned about doing so with my IC (especially since prenatals sent me into a flare). I was really thinking it would be impossible.
My question is about insurance. A lot of you talk about seeing specialists before becoming pregnant. How do you get into see them? My insurance covers my yearly exam with my OB (who is not a specialist) and I would love to change, but don't want to spend big $$. And most OB won't see you until you've conceived. How do I get my questions answered and find the right MD before I take the plunge?

Most ob doctors are ob/gyns. You don't have to be pregnant to see a gyn and since most are obs as well, they should be able to help you out, or refer you to a specialist. Good luck!
