My doctor heard of a new cream from Europe for the urethra. It gets injected some how. Not sure how we have not started it yet. It is supposed to help with the burning/pain in the urethra. I was just wondering if anyone has had this done and if works

I dont know anything about it but it sounds like something that would really help me and a lot of others! Do you know the name of it?

No I don't but once I find out I will let you all know. He said he will not get to work on it until next week. We talked yesterday and today I sent and e-mail to him ( my Dr.) and asked if he any luck on the formula and he sent back one saying "patient". I need to figure out the compound and how to inject it.

I didn't know I was the first patient for this. Seems I am always the first for everything.

Disappointing news. the cream that they referred to was basically lidocain so this will not be the helpful cream we thought it would be.
Go figure

Estrace cream helps me alot! It helps rebuild the damaged tissue of the urethra and my burning is gone completely.

My Uro believes in vagifem for mature IC patients. He says the urthea needs lubricating. He prescribed 2 x a week. Unfortuntely, I think I need 3 x a week as I get cramps, even at my age. Not sure I want to continue as my co-pay is $30.00 per month. Do any of you use something else.
