About Prelief and Elmiron

I am still trying to figure out where my posts from yesterday went. I posted on several boards and my posts are not there today. We were having a storm and my computer locked up a couple of times. That must be what happened. Anyway, Can you take Prelief with Elmiron and other pain killers and antispasm meds? Thanks and much love, Subarusue

Dear Subarusue:

Prelief does not interfere with any medications unless you are on a medication that is inhibited by calcium. If you are not sure, you can check with your pharmacist or physician.

Many IC patients take Prelief while on Elmiron. Elmiron may allow the bladder wall to heal, and that is a slow process; meanwhile, Prelief keeps them comfortable.
