ok since we can't have cranberries and such is there anything else that will help you from getting urinary tract infections? I go a long time without one but when I do get one it's so hard to get rid of.
I would just rather stop them from even starting if I could. :help:

Blueberries are supposed to be good and many ICers can eat them with no problem.

I've read that D'Mannose is supposed to help, but don't know much about it personally. You can search on this forum for previous posts about it.

Blueberries, D-mannose, garlic, and oregano oil I put at the top. some others:• UvaUrsi, motherwort, marshmellow root.
as always research and talk to your doctor to be sure it is right for you before trying.

i have to use a catheters and the best way to avoid UTI's is to not wash and reuse catheters. Once they are open, it is IMPOSSIBLE to re-sterilze them. if you dont use catheters, then you should try liquid chlorophyll. Bacteria can only grow in a acidic environment. things like soda, sugar, ect., can make your urinary system acidic. The chlorophyll changes your system from acidic to alkaline. i have been UTI free for over 7 months because of it.

A couple other thoughts that seem to work for me,..
Loose fitting clothing, cotton underwear, almost obsessive bathroom hygiene, and always urinate following sex!
I hate UTIs!
