Does anybody know what an average time allowed is for the Cysto Hydrodistention? I am scheduled for diagnostic laparoscopy at the same time. Thanks!

If you mean the actual time spent in the operating room for the procedure, the hydrodistention takes less than ten minutes. By the time I get anesthesia and have the procedure, it's about a half hour in the OR.

Hi,
About a year and a half ago I had a cystoscopy and laparoscopy. I think it took about 2 hours for both procedures

My laps for endometriosis surgeries were 2-6 hours. The cystoscopy with hydros were between 30 minutes to one hour each time.
Good Luck

My in and out times for hydro's are 45 minutes. Now add a laparoscopic surgery to that and I would add an hour going in and diagnosing getting out.
The laparascopy time of 2-6 hours as posted above is more then average time. She has so many repeat and severe endo. Usually, one hour at the most 1.5 hours. So you should be in the OR 2 hours look at that minimium and if you are out sooner great and everybody is relieved. They keep the families posted or your family can go to the surgery waiting room desk and ask- they will get an answer for you from the OR . Good Luck> VIcky

As far as the lap time I guess I should clarify. If you are just going for a diagnostic lap than its about an hour or so but if you go to an endometriosis center for surgery than the time is normally 2-6 hours.

From the time I fell asleep to the time I woke up, it was 25 min. I only had the hydro.
