I feel so sick, in pain, bloated, constipated, tired and ugh. The vicoden and tens is hardly doing anything for the pain. Plus that is bothering my stomach. I was taking tums for it but read where taking tums along with pain meds is dangerous. Last 3 days I went on a junk food eating spree due to nerves so I gained 4 pounds back and not sure if that could be the casue. I can eat oranges but peanut butter kills me. Go figured but I'm pretty sure I have another yeast infection down there and went to buy one of the kits in the store but they are so expensive. The cheapest was $17 and I just don't have it. Can a yeast infection in the vagina cause pain and bloatness? I'm just so miserable and have not way out of it. Going back on the low fat diet for good and hope that will help some. Having snow/freezing rain so can't get my cymbalta pills either over the weekend so looks like I won't get them to try until during the week. I just feel like I have no one to help me out around here. Not on the boards but where I live. Plus they make it so much harder to deal with. I did find they have flavored stuff to add to water so I can at least get more water down me. Much cheaper then buying the already flavored bottled water.

I wish I could help you! I have only had 1 yeast infection in my life and that was painful and uncomfortable on it's on. Have you tried getting acidopholis at the health food store. My doctor insisted on my using it everyday when I was on antibiotics after treatments or surgeries. It dosolves in water. I don't remember it being that expensive, but I never had a yeast infection after I started using it while on it.
Ihope you feel better!

Awww Mary, I am so sad to hear that you are not feeling well. I hope the problems clear up soon. Take care and don't slip on the snow and ice. :)

I had a yeast infection before and I finally had to call the doctor for something to get rid of it. I tried the OTC stuff and it did not clear it up. The doctor gave me one pill and also some cream to help with the itching. Can you call your doctor to see if they can call something in for you?
I hope you feel better soon :grouphug:

I never used to get so many of these things. Did buy a box that has 3 vag inserts but now I don't know if i can use it with the cymbalta. On the cymblata instructions it says not to use it with cipro. Never thought to ask the pharmacy. Hope your Uro helps you out. Why are out bodies so high mantanence? You would think we were porches or something. :)
Ok, I spelled porsches wrong. NOt even sure I have it spelled right either but at least we are not a bunch of wooden 2x4 sticks. Sorry...............

Have you ever tried probiotics? They could not only help with the yeast infection, if that is indeed what you have, but if you have belly pain, bloating, gassiness, etc....it can help that too. Not everybody with IC can tolerate yogurt , but I can without a problem, so I drink a Danactive drink every morning, that has probiotics in it. Plus I also take a probiotic supplement daily. There are a wide variety available and some better than others. I don't know if the user Vampiress is still around on the boards, but she is pretty knowledgeable about the probiotics.
Staying on a low fat diet might help too, as well as no caffeine or carbonation-which you may already be avoiding with the IC diet.
I suffer from tons of belly symptoms, and have tried many things. Oh, one more thing....if you take a fiber supplement? Don't take metamucil or any with psyllium as the active ingredient. Many people tolerate it with no problem, but if you are already prone to intestinal upset, this can make it worse.
Some people also swear by Beano. I've not tried it, but just bought a bottle.
Good luck!
