Does anyone else know their PUF Score? I think mine was 21.

Pain-Urgency-Frequency Test. It is a survey type test that you fill out regarding your symptoms - it is a method some docs use to see if your symptoms are consistent with IC.

If I answer the questions the way my symptoms are now that I have treatment, I have a 19... if I answer the way I would have right when I was first diagnosed, my answer would be a 33.

Wow!!!! I did mine for how I was pre-interstim which was 33. After interstim for the first few years and getting the settings going, I scored a 20. Now with the interstim working very well and the right combo of meds (even decreasing them) I scored an 11..possibly even a 10 alot of the days (which is how I have felt I have been since last summer).

I knew I was doing better than even a year ago!

I found a copy of the PUF on the website for Elmiron. I tried to pull the other one up but I could not get it to work.

My score was 33 on the PUF and 32 on the O'Leary one. My urologist has me fill out the O'Leary paper every time I have an office visit. He does that so he can track my progress.

I finally had time to take the test. I scored a 10 but it could also be 12 because the amount of times I go to the bathroom during the day varies and I do get up during the night, every once in a while. If I had taken this test back in the beginning, I am sure that I would have scored much, much higher. So, the urologist was correct in 2001. I did have IC, then and I still have IC, now. It is just better controlled, now thanks to diet and meds.
