I bought new black curtains for my son's room because it gets the all day and afternoon sun. He likes to sleep in so we thought black was perfect. I struggle with getting up on his BUNK BEDS to nail the hangers in, get the curtains on the rod, hang them up and realize that they are two different lengths! I SWORE I had the right sizes when I bought them but apparently that fibro fog got to me in Target and I got two different sizes. I'm SO MAD! I about killed myself getting up there, and getting them hung, only to find out they have to come down again and return the shorter of the two panels.

I am so stupid sometimes....would have been nice if I'd noticed BEFORE I hung them up, ya know?

LOL - we must be related, and I have nothing to blame my latest mistakes ;) I needed window envelopes for work, drove 45 min to the only Staples around to get them. Great! Took them to work, put them away blah blah blah - few days later, I need an envie - I pull one out of the box - there are NO windows!!! ARGH!!! Now I have to drive back up to Staples to return them, geesh. And keep making mailing labels to mail my invoices to my customers. I can't believe I never noticed, the box color was the same as the window ones etc, geesh. So, I spent 26 bucks on envelopes I don't need!

Yeah, I feel for ya - I know the frustration!! LOL ;)

Your problem is almost as bad as mine! To top it all off I left the rod at the Target we bought the curtains at and it's halfway across town! I wasn't driving all the way back there for a 1.57 rod so I had to run to the dollar store to get another one. All this trouble for some silly curtains! I feel your pain about the driving. It seems like every day I do something incredibly stupid! LOL

Just call me Luuuuuucy---red hair and all! I make her look normal sometimes!

My mom says that's what happens when you start getting old!

When we are working on any project, no matter how simple, it always means at least 3 trips to the store. When hubby was putting in the doggie door. He was already home with the storm door and had cut the part to put the doggie door in. Now, I know I am no contractor or anything, but I do watch HGTV and I know the difference in size between interior doors and exterior doors widths, so I looked at the door and told him I didn't think the door was wide enough. My anal husband that takes his time and measures once and even twice, etc. bought an interior storm door to fit the door going from our garage into the house. He needed the storm door that was for exterior doors. I promise I didn't rub it in that he "finally" made a mistake, but it certainly was hard not to laugh. But he was way too mad by then and muttering under his breath. So on Christmas Eve day, we were back up at Home Depot so that he could buy another door since the first one couldn't be returned. When he was putting that up, I had to go back and buy some spray insulation that he had on his list to keep the cold air from coming through the storm door. I can still picture his face. If he cussed, that would have been the time he did! But it was up and everything was cleaned up by the time the family came over! So now we have a nice new storm door going out into our garage and one for the dogs to go into the back yard.

Hey!! Who you calling old? :) Traceann and I share the same birthday, Feb 24th and I'll be 44!! I guess I AM getting old!

I feel better knowing I'm not the only one who makes silly mistakes like that! I'm still freting over how much I hurt myself trying to do this and do it right the first time. I was SO satisfied when I finally climbed down from that BIG bunk bed...stood back, looked, and almost cried! LOL At least I can laugh about it now because most of the pain is gone now but it will haunt me tomorrow I'm sure!

I am younger than you and my mom says I am old since my memory is so bad! I am always accused of remembering things that never happened! Of course this is coming from my mom which is a whole different story. She is a great mom that just happens to be ditsy. It would take an entire forum to talk about her "stories"!

LOL, yeah Sandy - we are getting old, ugh, even though I am loathe to admit it! Just call me Ethel ;) And NO! I am not working in a candy factory with you, uh uh - no way! lmao!!!!!

It's funny, but any of our projects around here, even if we have a list too, there seems to be at least another trip or two to the store before it can be completed...ugh. Like the door hinges hubby bought for these great cupboard doors he made me in the upstairs loft bedroom so I could access the attic space on the sides of the wall (it's a chalet style). We waited patiently for them to arrive, they were a great price - way cheaper than getting them around here, they arrived, he said it was "Just like Christmas!" he was so excited - only to find they wouldn't work for how he had wanted them too, lmao!!! I stayed far far away that day...... ;)

Oh Donna! How cool, you're one day after ours - does that automatically make you older since it's a day later? I have a friend who's birthday is the day before mine, and even though he's older than me our theory is that makes me older than him since he's the 23rd :biglaugh: We need a party!!! ;)

Oh no Leslie!!! Um, yeah, I have been guilty of that sort of thing too - one time I had to return a pair of Jeans 3 times to get the right ones! Hubby teased that by the time all was said and done, I had shelled out as much for shipping as I did for my jeans!!! It became the principal of the thing though....... ;)
