My family, including my in-laws are very close to a family that has meant alot to us through the years. Their older daughter goes to our church and I have had both of her boys through the pres-school age group when I was teaching Sunday School She was my kids first "real" babysitter, when I didn't have my in-laws or mom available for babysitting. Anyway, my husband was a church choir practice last night. Stephanie was there and she has such a sweet spirit about her. She has been through more than most moms should go through. She started out as a nurse, then became a teacher at Univ of Memphis for a few years and just received her doctorate last spring. She did all this while she went through a horrible divorce. She always had a smile on her face and was always encouraging to me because she knew just what I was going through. She is always the encourager and a wonderful friend

To get to my point her house was declared uninhabitable yesterday by code enforcement. She lived in Arlington which is not too far north of me. There were funnel clouds spotted in Arlington the night of the tornadoes, but never any actual touchdowns that were verified. They said it was probably wind shears, but that doesn't make a difference, her home is gone! Her house was surrounded by trees. She had an absolutely beautiful home and lot. One of the guys in our church went out there yesterday that is a contractor and said that any standing building on her property (even the doghouse) was completely demolished. She has already been given emergency money from her insurance agent. Again, I knew the agent and I am sure she will be taken care of...my FIL will see to that since he still has all his connections. My FIL used to be her agent before he retired. She is going to try to find a rental house while they rebuild her house, right now she is in a hotel. Thank the deal Lord that she wasn't home yet and her boys were in aftercare after they got out of school. They even found their dog, which being a dog lover, I was so happy for the kids! Please pray for my friend and her family. It brought back so many memories of when she was young and her family's home burned to the ground. My husband and other men are going out there today to help her salvage anything they can, but at this point it's probably not much. She is such in inspiration to me and her parents are the type that are there even without asking.

The tornadoes a couple nights ago was very scary to watch and knowing that there was damage all around our metropolitan area. We don't know that many people that actually suffered damage, but knew a few that were aquaintances. Please pray for my friend and her 2 sons. The oldest is in middle school and the other in 5th grade. She is a strong Christian and I know that she will lean on her faith. Her parents raised her to be a wonderful women and she has such a sweet spirit.

I am normally not awake this time of night, but I woke up and just started praying that God will get her through yet another tragedy that she will overcome and be stronger for it. It's just tough knowing what this sweet girl has been through in her lifetime and just watching her faith is so inspirational.

Thanks so much for your prayers for my friend Stephanie.

Stephanie and her boys will be in my prayers. I am so glad that they did not suffer physical harm. Property can be replaced, people can not. Praise God that they were kept safe.
