cystoscopy today...is it okay that i'm on my period?

my cystoscopy is scheduled for today. it's just in the office...no anasthesia...no hydro. just the camera and, if they find anything, a biopsy.

but i'm on my period. this won't affect the cysto will it?
i SO don't want to reschedule!

I suggest you call your MD's office and tell them this information before you even go for your appointment today. Your uro MD that is his call what he wants you to do. VN

I think different doctors do different things. It is a good idea to call to see what your doctor suggests.

I would call and ask but I'm pretty sure it's OK since I had a hydro with my period - I just didn't wear a tampon.
