Good morning,

I have already had a day, and its only 10. So this morning I wake up to 5 inches of snow. I get up get ready and start my car. I scraped it off and had everything ready to go. I live 1/2 an hour away from work. The roads are crap and there are people off the road everywhere. I drive a golf:) THe panic set in once I got off the highway and my car started to sputter. The driving was just plain scarry. My car completly broke down as I pulled into a gas station. After 10 minutes of trying to start my car, and spraying it with wire dry, 2 maine red necks pull up in a junker pick up truck. They said they would "push me". Ok I though, (thinking they would get out and push me.) I get into my car and throw into neutral, and before I know it there is a smash. I look in the rear view and they are oushing me with their veihcle! I started balling and pushed it into a parking space. I get out see the paint is messed up and before I had a chance to say something they had pulled away. I was trapped at the gas station. Nice. I had to be at the branch to open 15 minutes ago. Great. I started balling again, and a wonderful woman asked to drive me into work. Thank God for her. So here I am at work, car broken down, scratched badly feeling awful. I am just so ******. I am full of anxiety, and the cops said I couldn't do anything since I "agreed". Please keep me in prayer. I am hoping that when my co-worker takes me over at lunch it will start once the wire dry sits. I feel so upset, even though the damage is superficial. I feel bad for my fiance that he has to deal with this. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks for reading my vent.

I cant believe they would push you with their truck without specificially asking you. I would believe it if it were two redneck trucks, but not an old truck on a new car. Stupid!

Im sorry you are having to deal with this today.:grouphug:

The best thing about a bad day is that they will end at midnight. I hope you can get the car started without problems. (((Hugs)))

Yeah my car didn't start...Jake has to come pick me up later and see if he can get it going. What a bummer. I have ruined his day, and now mine too.

Oh Erika! That sounds like something that would happen to me, ugh. I certainly hope your day gets better, at least once you get home from work, you can "relax" as best you can and tomorrow WILL be better!!!

Tracey read my mind...I was just thinking how that was something that would happen to ME!!! At least you're in good company! Sorry, I know that didn't help anything. I'm stunned that they meant they'd push you with their old truck...just stunned!!! What bloomin idiots they were! They sure didn't help you did they? I hope your tomorrow is better and that the snow lets up for a while.

Hugs, Sandy

Honest to God. Maybe it was my ex who gave you the push? ,j/k.....years ago my ex tried to help me that way and tore off the emblem off my Mustang....are you kiddin me.

Well lets look at it this way...You're safe. A nice lady drove you to work. Your car is safe and not stranded out on some remote highway. And today is almost over! Do you feel better!? no? :)

(((((((erika)))))) sorry your day was so crappy, sorry those dudes were so stupid :(

That really sucks. I also hope you have a better day. My car didn't break down today but it was doing this weird sputtering thing and almost sounded like it backfired. I was supposed to drive the three hour round trip to see my specialist and hubby said no way. He's right of course, don't want to be stranded far away from home with no way to get back. We can't get the car fixed until we get our tax refund which could be up to 2 weeks. I just hope it lasts around town for that long.
I am with the others and am totally shocked that they pushed your car with their old pickup truck. I would never even thing to push someone with my car when they ask for a push. That is so crazy! At least the day is over now and hopefully tomorrow will be alot better. :grouphug:

Hello from Waterville, ME. Just woke up. OMG the snow is coming down so awful hard again today and the forecast is very bad for tonight into tomorrow. When I was a young woman, giving someone a push was common. Back than one learned how to do it right and never once did my auto get hurt and I always got started. WE only had standard shifts so no problem , Auto shifts could not be done. Have you thought about your car insurance? Many have coverage that will pay for a tow. In my old age I would not think of not having AAA coverage. Not everyone can afford that. I couldn't when I was young. I broke down recently, got towed to VIP and found my battery was shot. Replaced battery and no trouble since. What a rotten Winter we have had this year. I'm Praying you get going without much trouble. Let us know. Like you need more problems!! So Sorry. Hug, Ziggy

So Jake showed up, fixed the ignition coil and all was well. He wasn't mad at all. Whewwww! We are expecting another 7-12 inches of snow today in southern Maine. Thanks for the support.

Erika:)
