HOW LONG til this goes away....

I'm sick of being sick...UGH!!!!

I had a dental filling done Fri Jan 25, halfway thru I realize my dentist has a cold....are you kidding me? That's just got me so mad and wondering why a doctor would knowingly come to work sick and then stick their fingers in patients' mouths.....

OK so I get sick from all that......I've been sick since last Monday the 28th.....I'm tired, and cranky, I have no voice, I can't sleep because I'm so congested and can't stop coughing....and I don't get paid if I don't work .......I have girlie weekend coming up that was planned for MONTHS! and I can't figure out where all this snot is coming from....I've burned thru MEGA rolls of TP. My house looks like a tornado's whipped thru it and I'm done, I'm all freakin done....

SO. when is this stupid cold supposed to go away?!?!?!?!?!?

That's no fun at all, Yvette. It really is amazing how much junk your body produces to flush out the offending germs in your nose. I hope you are feeling well enough to go on your weekend. For me, a cold lasts 10 days from the first symptom to the last sniffle.

Thanks Sharon....I think i just needed to vent before I had a complete meltdown (Today, I had to cancel a day-shopping trip with a friend to IKEA :( )

10 days...wow! Well either tomorrow or Thurs will be 10 days.....

I usually plan on about two weeks for a cold. I hope it goes away for you soon.

I believe in Epsom salts baths for everything these days.........maybe that will help..............

PS: I still think you should at least call the dentist office and tell them what happened. If she never hears about the consequences of doing work like that while she is sick, she will continue to do it. Who would be affected next? Someone with heart trouble or a small child?

I'm sorry you feel so rotten.........if you were closer I'd bring over some hot Potato soup with Sausage cornbread..........*but* I'd use the mild sausage so our IBS would be oh so nice!

I hope everything clears up and you are able to go out for the weekend! I know the boys have some kind of Viral thing with high fevers so I better not get it!

For me zicam is a huge life saver. It does not hurt my bladder at all. They say to take it at the start but I would still try it. I always got the worst colds about three times a year. I am talking about three week long colds. I know statistically that the minamal amount of zinc... but it makes a huge difference for me. Since I started using it about two years ago (I think) I have not had a full cold or one that lasts longer than three days. I like the zicam nasal swabs. Just an idea.

OK, so I'm wicked neurotic and thought "crap, I might have an infection going on" so I got squeezed in to the see the doc today....and I got AB's that are some harcore belly busters (so much for the IBS getting under control) :rolleyes: to boot: the doc had to wear a mask to see me. she told me "I've got cooties, I don't want to get you sick" funny. I told her was too late. poor thing....she tried. And she's leaving the state so i have to find a new PCP :lmao:

Good news....hopefully I'll feel better soon and girlie weekend will go on (a bunch of girls had to drop out......so we're down to 3 of us) Bad news....I'll be on Immodium all weekend :biglaugh: I just have to laugh....what else can i do?

Is it Friday yet? :D
