I went to a walk In Clinic yesterday for bronchitis. Well the Doctor is a retired Urogyn. He knows a lot about IC and Endometritis. He was asking me what my doctors have done for it. He isnt a fan of my current DR. He did tell me to change and offered to help me find a doctor to help me. Anyway Till I find A new Dr. This Dr gave me Pain Meds since me DR want. Is it ok to get Pain Pills from another dr till I find a new one?

I would think it is okay as long you do not have a contract with another doctor for narcotics. I know most pain clinics make you sign a contract for narcotics but if you don't have that I would think you could get the meds from anyone.
I am glad you found a doctor that understands the pain we go through!
Take care

As long as you don't have a contract and aren't getting narcotics from more than one doctor it should be okay. Hopefully you'll be making the change very soon --- the doctor who is taking care of you needs to know what you are taking.

Small world there. Wow you find a retired uro in urgent care. That's great that he is going to steer you in the direction of a good uro. Wow he gave you pain meds. Sounds like a caring MD. VN

He does sound like a caring MD. I would think its ok if you don't have a contract anywhere else also. Hope he helps you find a great doc! :)

It Is A Amazing Feeling To Find Someone That Doesn't Think Your Crazy And Actually Wants To Help! I Hope His Recommendations Are Helpful.

How lucky you were to get a retired uro at urgent care. I have never understood why uro's won't prescribe pain meds for IC when IC is so painful for most patients at least some of the time and all of the time for us unlucky ones. I'm very surprised he openly said he didn't like your current dr. They usually stick together so much that even if they don't like another dr they won't actually express it to a patient. I hope the dr he helps you find will be able to give you better treatment than your current dr. Keep us posted on when you have an appointment with the new dr and how it goes. I'm so happy to hear you don't have to suffer in pain.

That's great good luck. Of course it's all right to take them; they were prescribed by a doctor, a urologist even, and you are in the process of making plans for more stable care. Just count your blessings!
