i know i spelt that wrong but does anyone know if it can cause irregular heat beats? or heart problems?

i guess i should have explained more well ive been taking amitryptalin for a while off and on i dont like it because it made me stutter the first time i took it i could litterally feel electrical pulses going through my brain, they origionally put me on it for carprul tunnel pain, well i quit taking it because i called my doctor and they said that it wouldnt cause that, so when my uro told me to take it i didnt want to but figured id give it a try because i was and still am in major pain, well i left this morning at 8 am to drive hour and a half to uro to get my third DMSO i got half way up my dirt road and passed out while driving, i know i should have gone straight home after that but my boyfriend is an a@@ so i didnt want to ask him to take me and i need the DMSO. So i drove on i was fine all day until i went to my GP at 3:30 pm which i was already in major pain because i forgot to bring a pain pill to take after the DMSO. The nurse checked my pulse and said it was ok then the nurse pratitioner came in and said i had a sinus infection which i already knew just needed meds, then she took my pulse and said it was high i was like yah i bet im hurting really bad, she ignored me and left the room, then the first nuse comes in again and took my pulse with a electornic thing it was 130 was 120 when NP checked, so the nurse leaves and comes in with an EKG machine which scared the crap out of me and did that. NP came back in and said my pulse was to high and she wants me to go in sometime this week to recheck and that if its still to high she wants to put me on a low dose of MAOI which scares me too, what im thinking is going on is i cant take the amitriptyline, if anyone has had this problem or has some advice i would love to hear it in the mean time i am going to stop taking it see how it does..... my life is so wrong i dont know what to do and with all that i get home and my boyfriend says you F'in stink. I dont know he has done that all three times ive had the DMSOs i think thats kinda mean idk...

I took a low dose for only a few days (2 or 3 at the most). It pushed my blood pressure to dangerous levels and definitely made my heart pound. My pressure went up to 210/110. I stopped taking it and called my doctor. He agreed that I shouldn't take it and said that a few people do have that kind of reaction.

It caused my heary rate to be in the 160's, I dont take it anymore!!!

ty everyone i have decided that i am going to stop taking it and see if i still have that problem i am going to call my uro and NP tommorrow and tell them. ty all for your input
