Well, I had a rough trip to the funeral for my Tante Lenore, but I did get a chance to catch up with my niece Dana, and I am so proud of her! She has finished med school but doesn't have an official MD yet (some national test result isn't in yet), but still she was asked to write a chapter in a medical book! This is a huge honor for her. The book is already published. She was also elected as the Student Representative from her school to the AMA convention.
She will start her residency in OB/GYN this year. Oh, and did I mention -- she is doing all of this with a husband who works, and a two year old daughter?
I just can't get over how much she's already accomplished. I mean, just finishing med school, let alone with a baby, is a big accomplishment for anyone. But she's accomplished even more than that.
:woohoo:
And yes, I did speak to her seriously about being a gyn, and patients with pelvic pain.
