Hi, I am not sure which area to post this question. I see my dermatalogist tomrorow. I have decided to go on Accutane. I get cystic acne around my period. It's about two or three, so it's not super severe, but it bothers me. I usually get cortasteroid shots for them. Ah, they are wonderful... but I don't know if Accutane ( Vitamin A derivative) would affect IC? I am hopeful, it doesn't but you never know. I know a few people had flare ups with it, and I read a person who did very well and did better using it. If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please let me know.
I could not go on it, but I really want to stop getting this acne at 31 years old. It's embarrassing. I have tried antibiotics, creams...gels. My dermatolgist recommended this approach and thinks it would be extremely successful.
